Finally the weather is nice enough around here for t-shirt clad rides. Unfortunately the weather wasn't the only thing breaking around here lately. After an evening of drags up and down Woodward I got back to the garage and noticed my handle bars were a little spongy - big twin bars should not be spongy. After a closer inspection I found a 320 degree radial crack on the neck casting around the horn/hilo light wiring exit hole. Scary stuff. In the Lemonaid from lemons department I'm using this malfunction to restyle the bars. Shorter and lower will be the plan. I'll post pics when complete.
Probably caused by the torsional stress from the high banks of Daytona International Speedway while trying to out run a bunch of old timers......LoL
