Thunderdrome Tomorrow!!!!

Last October's race day at the Thunderdrome was a massive success on all terms. Tomorrow's event should prove to be even bigger and better with more folks racing and watching thanks to the media blitz and word of mouth. Get there early for a good seat and a stroll through the paddock. The parking lot can be as interesting as the grid at this down home event. Our crew will be there cheering on Motoguru as he turns it on in the scooter class. Click post title for all the details.

Hates the Man

Our Daily Sled #216

Damn near perfect proportions. The exhaust pipe tuck behind the rear down tube is pretty neat. The handle bar/ tank relationship works nicely as does the subdued color scheme. Love this thing!

Well Done Minna!

I have no idea what she won but I think she has impeccable taste in T-shirts. Thanks for the heads up Wesley! Thanks as well to the COC blog.

An Easter Roll

Saturday's I'm usually at work so when I get a day off I typically try to utilize it as best I can. This year FMC was shut down for the Easter weekend so I decided to make a run down to Perrysburg Ohio with my '39 ULH for a roll down the banks of the swollen Maumee river towards Indiana. I was also trying to put some fresh miles on my new re-built police special speedo (thanks Hammer! Works great.) In Napoleon there is a HD dealer with a killer little museum that I like to visit when I'm passing through. Apologies for the poor photo quality, my camera has been dropped one too many times and is now officially kaput. Anyway I made it to Defiance Ohio for lunch and a stroll through the towns antique store. After that it was a straight shot East back to where I began. The road that skirts the river is an Ohio scenic byway that tracks over all kinds of country. From rolling hills to dense woods to well groomed farmland, always pitching and twisting with only a couple straightaways and a nice smooth surface. A good road for sure and since the speed limit is only 50mph all the heavy traffic stays to the north on 20 leaving the river road virtually empty. If you get the chance check it out.

Hang On Indian!!!

Once again Indian has changed hands. This time to Polaris who at least should have the capitol to do something with it. Let's hope "something" is not to continue a line of soulless WAY overpriced motorcycles.

Song of the Sausage Creature

I remember reading this when it first came out. I had seen a 16mm movie clip of Hunter behind the wheel of a giant Pontiac and thinking "shit, he'll kill everyone!". I couldn't imagine him behind the bars of a vicious Italian bike but apparently it happened.
