The drive to Xmas eve dinner tonight was made on two wheels thanks to the lack of fresh snow and "warm" temps in the upper twenties the last couple days. But on the way home a few minutes ago I found enough black ice to remind me of how much I really do appreciate being alive. Maybe I should have asked Santa for some studded tires...

Bean 1996 - 2010

One of my best friends passed away today. He lived a long full life and was loved by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. For many years he was my shadow, always there at the end of my worst days ready to wrestle the bad right out of me and bury it in the back yard. There was an amazing energy about him that I only hope has rubbed off on me a little. Like most bullet-proof friends he asked for little but gave everything. Your a good boy Bean and you will be missed. Thanks for all you gave me. I only wish I could have spent a little more time with you by my side. Bean July 4th 1996 - December 15th 2010.
