Thrash Deflector
Been working on the final bit for the ULH - a chain guard which I have never run on this bike. I've heard a few horror stories about thrashed up legs and backs so I'd thought it was time. I've always had a pet peeve about ill fitting chain guards that hang too far off the back of the sprocket - they drive me crazy (like those flat trailer fenders that look like...well, a crappy flat trailer fender). No offense if you run them - I'm the one with the issues here. Anyway I found this old bicycle chain guard at Eustis a few years back with a nice profile. I've been hacking on it for a few days now and finally have something I like. Should be in paint and on the bike for good by Saturday.

Yesterday...
Shot Terry's new shovel for GK mag today. Saw the evening gold behind Grand Central...finished the night at the Sugar House with a crew that knew we had what we needed in the bag. The Pappy flowed and everyone agreed to meet back at Wauseon in July.

Hold Up - PT2
Finished it last night. I'm happy with the final result, but I realized I'm not cool enough to wear it.
Perma-Stoke
In a world of paper "Idols" that bring nothing to the table besides a facade built on a weak foundation of vanity, it's nice to know, that at one time, there were people worthy of the title.

Hold Up
Needed a new belt badly...so I put the zillion bike projects on hold and started making one the other day. Not sure about the red jewels but happy with everything else. Put the heavy brass spots on my hips for future road rash prevention. Dying the the whole thing black tonight. It meets my britches tomorrow.

Cycle Porn #228
I officially met Kiyo at born free this year and must say he was a true gentleman, (I had met him once before about 5 years ago at the old Garage Company shop in Venice but we shared no words). This year at BF he noticed I had nowhere to park Rosemary and graciously approached me and offered some space in the garage company booth which was at ground zero. I've admired his bikes and his riding skills (see above) for years now and it was an honor to finally rub elbows with the man. I understand that he is now doing his own thing out of his own shop - no doubt it will be a success. I know you have all seen this killer shot by Cicero, but I love it, so here it is again!
