Gino&Josie
Have not had a chance to take any quality pics of my new knuck because of other things on my plate. Gino stopped by over the weekend and tried her on for size. They make a nice couple. I'm deciding what to do with the knuck at the moment...either a full-blown AMCA style resto or a quick engine rebuild and ride as-is. There are a lot of things I'll be changing either way...hopefully I can have her on the lift this week to start the process. I do know this, she will remain pretty stock with just a couple period mods.

Rosie Rolls Again...
On the last ride of the season Rosemary sheared her drive sprocket and left me stranded about 100 miles from home. The sprocket on big twins is riveted onto the drum brake, an easy repair back home in the shop. But on the side of the road at night it's pretty much impossible - unless you have a small handful of 5/32 & 3/16 allen head bolts and matching lock nuts which now I will forever carry in Rosemary's tool bag. Since the flathead was done I finally got Rosemary up on the lift to finish this job yesterday. While riveting the sprocket back on I actually used the allen head bolts to secure it to the drum while riveting - a cool little trick - it allows you to get perfect alignment of ALL the holes with some adjust-ability - before you peen anything. Once the rest of the rivets were in place I removed the temporary bolts and riveted the holes they were in. Easy peasy. Slow news day....yep.

Mr. Park
Broke the mold...Dong is one of the best long distance traveling companions/gun mavens a friend could have. He is also currently looking for a good deal on a late model sporty, so if you have any leads don't be shy. Did I mention he's also very jolly - all the time. Seriously, I've never seen him in a bad mood and I work with him every day - even on Monday's he's happy...

24 hours in Florida PT-3
Thanks to Nelson, Karen, Hammer, Donna & Miles for all their southern hospitality, they gave us buckets of it and we thoughly enjoyed our short stay. Hope we can return soon and spend a little more time with everyone. I'd like to especially thank Nelson for letting me bring "Josephine" home - I was beginning to think I'd probably never be able to own an original knuck the way their prices have been skyrocketing in the last 24 months - but sometimes the stars still align and the notion of keeping it "in the family" is more valuable then max market value.

24 hours in Florida PT-2
By chance our last minute trip coincided with the first local flat track race of the season..."do you guys want to go?" We had been up almost 36 hours straight at this point but hell ya we wanted to go!
