WAUSEON!!!
Just got back from one of my favorite old crusty bike parties - The AMCA's Wauseon National held in Wauseon Ohio. WOW! what a great time we all had roaming the isles, catching up with good friends we only get to see a couple times a year and of course watching the Friday night races (this year with exploding action!). Oh, the camp fire laughter, top secret beverages and late night bull sessions are also worth big bags of money in my mind. It's events like this that once again give me hope in mankind. At least we know the bikers will be OK. HUGE coverage coming over the next week (589 pics)!

Almost Ready....
Been working on the Bonnepan every night since I got back from New Mexico. Bonneville is only 4 weeks away and there is still so much to do. Here's a shot from last year minutes away from it's maiden run. BTW we just had it on the dyno and the numbers were way better then we had hoped for. Tweaking a little more than back to the dyno one more time and then it'll be ready. Thanks to all that have lent me a hand or a part or both. Might even bring it to Wauseon for the race bike show...

New Mexico Run - Part I

The first part of the trip was a blur. I was keeping the throttle down trying to make more time in the southwest. Made it to Terra Haute Indiana the first night and then on to Tulsa the second. Following Route 66 most of the way. Hurricane Alex dumped oceans out in front of the bike the first half of the third day, but by lunch Amarillo was in the mirror and New Mex was in the windshield. The sun finally broke out in Tucumcari (New Mexico) where I took these shots. Part II of IIII tomorrow. Shhhhhhh.......This Weekend!
Our favorite little vintage bike gathering is this weekend. Look for the ZON/Blood Falcons/Shoes House of Chop/ Front Street Cycle/Moto Nisto/ tent city, we will all be there from Friday on, some earlier. If you can only make it one day come Friday night for the RACES, then help us celebrate Motoguru's 30th B-day by giving him a kick in his gluten free ass! I can almost hear the all-night blue grass and taste that ice cream....

4 from Eyes On Design

A lot of bikes this year (I'll post more soon) including one of my own which was an honor. In addition I was asked to participate in the event as one of the judges which was also an honor -(surely they must have run out of important folk). Thanks to Dr. Hessburg for all the noble work he has done in helping the blind to see and for his fine event now in it's 23rd year!Monday, July 12, 2010
I'm Back!
4000 Miles and 665 photos later I've returned home. Traveled through 8 states, 3 time zones and Hurricane Alex. Met some like minded new friends, witnessed the longest fireworks display ever and uncovered an absolutely killer vintage bike/memorabilia collection that had been sitting under my nose in Taos for years. My hard drives are jammed but I'll get through them all and get the pics up ASAP. Stay tuned. Oh, by the way, I missed you guys.
