6K and counting...

Finally got a chance to check in with you all.  Sorry for the delay, been riding heavy miles with little sleep.  I'm in Portland today at a good Friends who has put me up for a few days of r/r.  So far I've ridden about 6 thousand miles in all.  Ive had a great ride to Sturgis with the boys from Harley-Davidson, met some amazing folks (most named Dave) in Sturgis - people like Crazy Dave and Tman from the Vagabonds, Chopper Dave and all his mates from the Sinners (great photos to come stayed tuned),  Major hot rodders from OZ at Bonneville - Al, Shane, Pete and others.  Plus covered some great ground in NorCal, Nevada, Tahoe, Utah and Oregon.  I'll post more September 3rd when I get home.  What a ride this has been!!!  My soul is flowing... 

Sturgis Bound.

Well it looks like the stars have aligned once more and I'm heading to Sturgis in the morning. With all the scary stuff happening at Ford (we lost 25% or our design staff this past week) I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to put the gig together but it all ended up falling into place (thanks to some good friends of mine who have taken pretty good care of me - why I'm really not sure). I'll be updating the blog with photos/updates from the road when I can so check back soon.

Like I've said before, Sturgis is what you make it. Anything can be found there (and I mean anything) but I go for the long ride out and those famous Black Hills twisties. I'll be home in a few weeks with a good sunburn, an empty wallet and a little less metal on my floor boards.
