Our Daily Sled #224

Went by George Roeder's HD on route 20 in northeastern Ohio on my way south saturday. Hammer, who used to work there for George, told me that the shell of his 250cc record bike was in the lobby on display which it was. He went 177mph on October, 21 1965 at Bonnie.

1500mile Weekend...

Saturday morning I borrowed a bagger from my good buddy Dave and headed southeast towards the Virginia's. My goal was to cover both the 120 mile Highland Trail in West Virginia and the 110 mile Skyline Drive in Virginia in one day. Plenty more photos to come....tired now. Must sleep...

First Haircut

Mom sent me this pic last week - my first haircut. Must be sometime in the late 80's (ahem...).

Shoegazer

Made a 315 mile run with Motoguru to the Vans store in Toledo last weekend...ahh nothing like a fresh pair of sneaks and some twisty back road ribbon.

Last Night @ SpeedCult...

...there were flames, a homemade roller coaster, gallons of free tequila, a black light tunnel that made you wanna heave, more flames, loud surf-a-billy music, killer BBQ, a guy who kept setting himself on fire, a National Geographic film crew and a bunch of people that had a really, really good time. Thanks to Tina, Tim and Len for the invite!

Sleepy Pete

Tipsy found a stack of ancient negatives at a flea market a while back. Yesterday he mentioned finding a photographer to make some prints so he could see what he had. Then I realized we could use photoshop and a scanner to do the same thing. So here is the first one, probably never before seen! Check out the kid sawing wood - he looked like a Pete to me. More to come...

Spring Roll

Found some old saddle bags and a matching mud flap for Rosemary (thanks Joe!). Spent the last couple days making some OEM style brackets while the rains continued. Then the weather broke for good and I was able to take her on her first roll of the season. The air smells amazing around here with everything blooming, the days are warm and the nights have been clear and crisp - springtime in the mitten! Rosemary rules...
