Another weekend, another gathering of pals. Val's recent return from the south was reason for celebration (to be honest there's not much our crew doesn't celebrate - we have issues). It also gave me a chance to check out Marcel's latest MotoNisto no.6 in the making. Marcel insists it has a long way to go but I think you can't squint your eyes see the potential in the little yammy. Good times.
...in Cincinnati stays in Cincinnati. Shoe about to show a very much asleep Motoguru how they stay warm on those cold, cold Indiana nights. V-Twin expo 2010.
Both make me weak in the knees but given the choice I'd roll the one on the top... bet you would too. This has REALLY got me thinking about what could be done with a new XR1200, a pair of 5 spoke wheels and a fairing. Hmmm...
When the temp begins to hover around 14 degrees for weeks on end here in the mitten the only way to keep from going mad is to hunker down somewhere half-way warm and catch-up on much needed wrenching. Lance's big twin was known for it's mosquito killing capabilities so some of the crew gathered in his garage last night for a tear down of his motor. The good news was the bottom end proved to be in good shape so it looks like he will only need some barrel work and new rings to be back in biz by the time the ice melts.
A couple nights back I visited Cafe Racer for movie night. Little Faus and Big Halsey was the feature (epic) and to make things extra spicy John and his gang had whipped up a chili cook-off. Went home FULL. Cheers to John and the crew at Cafe Racer for their hospitality and the great grub. I'll be back.
