Guitar Jesus Daniel Lanois' latest creation Black Dub played here in the rain soaked D last night. The band is made up of two Lanois veteran session players Brian Blade (drums) and Daryl Johnson (bass) with Trixie Whitley - daughter of the late Texas bluesman Chris Whitley - on lead vocals. They blew the lid off the shack and burned down the outhouse while they were at it. I heard the roof hissing in the cold rain as I bolted from the door on the way out. If they show up near you defiantly make the time.
