A Western Roll - PT13 - Jackson Wyoming
One of my favorite places on earth and second to last stop on our trip West. I've been coming here for over a decade now - one of my fathers best friends bought and restored the Lynyrd Skynyrd ranch out on the elk refuge so whenever I was out that way I'd stay for a few days and soak up the Tetons and all the surrounding beauty - which I think is pretty much unparalleled. If you can deal with the occasional stray cow or bison in the middle of your road the riding is epic. Tons of great old motels and even better bars and restaurants at every corner downtown. In the winter some of the steepest descents I've ever ridden can be found at Jackson Hole (just ask Sleepy!) and there is usually a fresh dumping of powder to boot. The whole area has a very heavy vibe because it's still very wild - there are no saftey cones or bright yellow railings protecting idiots from themselves in that part of Wyoming so you proceed at your own risk - which of course is the way everything should be right? It's a place the continuing pussification of modern humans has not fully obliterated. High five.

Match Race
Lurch's son Tommy sent some pics from the last Ohio Mile we raced at. Thanks Tommy! We we're flagged off one at time btw. I think we ran somewhere near 130mph.

Yesterday...
...Suzi's gig in Stockbridge was the biggest I had ever seen. The highlight was an old timey cowboy type show by Crackin' Chris who made Indiana Jones look like a beginner. As always the best thing about Stockbridge are the roads that surround it - we took full advantage. Till next year - Thanks Suzi!

Suzi Greenway's This Weekend!
One of the lower mittens longest running events happens this Sunday. Suzi Greenway's All Clubs Day in Stockbridge just west of Ann Arbor. I'm not sure about the times but if your there by 11am or so your good. It's a static event so people ride in and out all day long. The roads around Stockbridge are some of the finest we have around here so give yourself some time. See you there.
Last Night
Did you ever get so stoked about something on ebay that you decided you must have it - at any cost. Then when you you actually win it you ask yourself "What the %#*% was I thinking? I don't even remotely need that." No? Me either.

The Reserve - Houston Tx
Spent the last week in Houston Texas on some business and managed to swing by the Reserve Supply Company - a cozy little store that's equal parts Skateshop, men's clothing store and biker type hangout. The owner Jason Bruen also set up a bike night (every Wednesday at 7:30) much to the stoke of the local crew. I took these shots last night as they were all rolling out. Looks like this little seed is beginning to sprout.

Yesterday...
...we gathered at my place in the AM for the annual 10 minute ride to the Battle of the Brits. I think we had every type of bike represented for the roll. The show/swap was OK, but the real fun began after we returned to my place and the pow wow began. Thanks to everyone who made the roster for the ride and those that came after. It was a nice way to use up a perfect late summer evening - with good friends, food and bikes.
