I hate riding without a helmet, my bike sounds to weird. That being said, heck yes to individual liberty in the name of my bike, my life, my choice.

Welcome to the 1980's Michigan.

I used to ride bareheaded most of the time but wear a skull bucket more often now. Just don't like a totalitarian gubm'nt telling me i have to.

Conservative logic escapes me sometimes. Let's see...we bring in more potential tourist dollars by mandating more personal spending on liability insurance? We all know what's going to happen...the insurance companies will shift the potential medical insurance coverage for increased head injuries to...you guessed it, the consumer! If "seat belts save lives," then so too don't helmets? Then why not repeal seal belt laws? Irrational!

I understand your concerns. But, the only reason states have helmet laws is because they're given a stipend from the transportation board for having it on their books.
